General Veers says he has reached the main shield generator to lord Vader when there is at least five more minutes of fighting until he blows it up. And then the imperial troops apparently have entered the base before the generator is down and before the rebels have retreated? Earlier in the film they say the field is strong enough to deflect any bombardment, so maybe Vader's landing craft could fly through the shield; okay. But why would Vader let the imperials bombard the base while he's searching through it for his son? Hallways are collapsing everywhere because of the bombardment which might crush him or Luke. It just seems like the empire has a problem with communicating.

- Luke, we had just destroyed one of their AT-AT, using arpoons. Are we going to use them again. No, let's continue firing uselessly against them.
